The DUAL sensors can be used either as wireless sensors or as Single Pair Ethernet sensors. It is easy to quickly adapt them to different measurement situations. If, for example, one finds during the installation of the AE system, that radio operation is problematic due to interference in the ISM band, the few short SPE cables can then be laid quickly afterwards with little effort. The cells are charged via a SPE cable.

However, some parameters are slightly restricted compared to the ISM and SPE sensors, because the use of both data transmission principles would otherwise require sensor housings that are too large. For example, only measurement times between 32 and 84 hours are possible in ISM operation. There are no restrictions on operating times when used as a SPE sensor.
